What this guide covers

Account brings together the controls that shape how SimpleTaxFlow contacts you, automates routine categorisation, and handles your information.

02

1. Choose useful notifications

Review deadline alerts and digest settings in Account. Keep the reminders that help you act on time and turn off only the channels you no longer want to receive.

2. Create careful categorisation rules

Add an always-categorise rule only for a supplier or description that reliably maps to one category. New expenses can use the rule before an AI suggestion, so avoid broad wording that could catch unrelated purchases.

3. Review security and connected access

Check your login email, provider connections, and accountant access. Disconnect services or revoke accountant access when they are no longer needed, without deleting the underlying business records.

4. Export or request deletion of data

Use Your data to download a copy of information or begin a deletion request. Keep any records you are legally required to retain before closing access to them.

Before you move on

  • Notification choices match how you want to be contacted
  • Categorisation rules are specific enough to be reliable
  • Provider and accountant access are still appropriate
  • Required records are retained before any deletion request
