The short version
An invoice is more than a request for payment. It is a useful starting point for a clean income record, especially when creation, payment status, and record review are connected.
Create the invoice with enough context
Whether you use the Invoices workspace or a WhatsApp request, include the customer, amount, service description, and due date. Those details make the invoice easier to approve and easier to understand later.
A chat request such as “Invoice ABC Ltd £600 for consulting due in 14 days” gives SimpleTaxFlow a clear draft to prepare for review.
Review before sending, then watch the status
Use the invoice workspace to check a draft and then send, resend, sync, or mark it paid when appropriate. A regular status review keeps overdue or incomplete invoices from quietly disappearing into the background.
If you use Stripe, payment links and payment updates can be handled through the connected workflow.
Confirm paid income in Activity
Once a payment is confirmed, check that the income record appears correctly in Activity. This connects customer payment activity to the records you will rely on during a quarterly review.
It is a small confirmation that avoids treating invoicing and record keeping as two separate jobs.
Put this into practice
